PowerPoints in Photosynthesis and Related Topics

Generations of university teachers and others have spent long hours preparing material for use with slide or overhead projectors. These are increasingly superseded by PowerPoint projection but the technology, in itself, doesn't remove the need to research the subject matter or prepare and assemble the slides .We are currently assembling a number of PowerPoint presentations that will seek to address this need. Each will focus on one topic and will be able to be presented either as a single slide show in its entirety or modified according to need. Because of incompatibilities between PCs and Macs we are also prepared to offer the slides on CD from which the PowerPoint presentations are compiled in order that users can compile their own. At the moment our list of topics is very short but you will find it in our catalogue. There, for example, you will find

Chlorophyll fluorescence

This is a 20-slide show (with a little sound and animation) about what Louis Pasteur, chlorophyll fluorescence, fluorescence quenching, right and left-handed molecules, mint, carraway seeds, and DNA have in common. This ppt will also be made available from Hansatech Instruments More are planned including The Pub Understanding of Science, Starch Pictures, The Z-scheme, Oscillations. Where does the water go in Photosynthesis?, Isolation of Chloroplasts, The Oxygen Electrode, Fluorescence in Relation to Carbon Assimilation, Feeding Plants, and Photosynthetic Electron Transport.
